About the Publisher

The publisher of the New Political Review is a 100% disabled, total and permanent, vet who suffers from incurable heart disease, and wishes to remain anonymous. The following excerpt from a recent interview highlights his motivations for the newsletter and his mission in life.

"The best way to make a difference is to go after the truth, and to do what you love to the best of your ability," says the publisher of the New Political Review. "I know how much time I have left, and that realization is a powerful motivator. My life may end sooner, but it definitely won't last longer than the 20 years my doctors have predicted. It was important to me to make a difference."

Brushes with death and disease — he has nearly died 18 times and suffered a kidney failure that required a transplant as a result of his heart problems — have put a premium on his life. There was no better time to pursue a life-long dream: to help revitalize the highest ideals of the American political system. The forum he chose was the New Political Review website.

The New Political Review is not the first time this publisher has dabbled in politics. "I was 13 years old when Eisenhower ran for president in 1952. I showed up at their headquarters to volunteer. They handed me a broom, and told me to clean the floor." The floor was kept spotless, Eisenhower went on to victory, and he was smitten with the idea of people working together to affect change. He has been involved in politics ever since, volunteering for both Republican and Democratic campaigns. "It's the issues and the ideas that matter, not the labels."

He saw a gaping hole in the American political system and felt that the New Political Review could fill it. "Where are the ideas? Where is the balanced thoughtfulness? Why is everything hype and spin, lots of shine and little substance? The spin-doctors and handlers have replaced the thinkers. I wanted to create a place that would both highlight and honor the thinkers, and give the voters what they need to decide for themselves."
